Micro Insurance Champions (Temporary Engagement for 3 Months)
Job purpose
Reporting to the County Micro Insurance Coordinators, He/she shall identify prospective farmers and farmer groups/associations for Agricultural Micro Insurance product training leading to sales, adoption and use.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage and successfully on-board farmers and farmer associations for the program.
- Building farmer capacity on agriculture insurance products through training
- Digital on-boarding of farmers to the agriculture insurance products.
- Conduct business intelligence on agriculture Micro Insurance within the county.
- To manage key relationships with the farmer networks
- To check-in with county micro insurance coordinators for smooth delivery of the micro-insurance product/s promotional and on-boarding materials.
- To participate in field days and sales campaigns for the agri-insurance products within allocated areas,
- Provide weekly reports on closed sales.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
- A minimum of diploma qualification in business studies and/or agriculture related field.
- A professional certification or training in insurance e.g. ACII, AIIK is an added advantage.
- 5 years’ experience, 2-3 of which should have been in a sales role.

- Proficiency in speaking the local community language
- Relationships Management
- Customer and market understanding
- Some knowledge of the county Agriculture sector
- Sales and marketing management skills
- Good communication skills
